How can I subscribe to receive messages from the business?

You can subscribe to receive messages from the business by: a. texting subscribe verb ("VIP" by default) to the business promo line; b. calling business promo line and press 1; c. scanning QR code located on the right of your profile to send the subscription SMS.

How can I stop receiving messages from the business?

You can opt out by: a. texting un-subscribe verb "STOP" to the business promo line; b. calling business promo line and press 2.

Will my cell phone number be shared or sold?

No. We don’t share your cell phone number with third parties and you will only receive messages from the business (phone number) you’ve subscribed.

Do I have to pay anything to receive the messages?

No, we don’t charge you to receive messages from businesses you subscribed to, but be aware that the standard charges of your provider can apply.

How can customer subscribe to receive messages from my company?

Customer can text your number with subscribe verb ("VIP" by default) or call your number and press 1 to subscribe. Customer can also scan QR code located on the right of your profile to send the subscription SMS.

How can customer opt out?

Customer can text your number with opt out verb ("STOP" by default) or call your number and press 2 to unsubscribe.

What happens if the subscriber phone number is not SMS-enabled phone or simply invalid?

We will mark this phone as invalid and remove it from your list of subscribers.

Can I download my subscription list?

Yes. Choose between plain text or excel file.

Can I bulk upload subscribers?

Can I share/sell my subscriber list with third parties?

No, you cannot share or sell your subscriber list with third parties. Customers who subscribed to your promotional number can receive only relevant messages from that promotional number.

Balance, Payments

What happens when I don't have enough credits on my account?

If you don't have enough credits on your account you will not be able to send SMS to your subscribers. We will automatically charge your credit card once your account balance falls below threshold you have set up. If we cannot charge your card because either you chose not to keep the balance or you have a problem with the credit card you will not be able to use our services. If your account is inactive for 1 month we will close your account and release the phone number.

Is balance refundable?

No, balance is not refundable.

Do credits expire?

Since it is pay as you go service, credits do not expire.

What payment model do you use?

We use pay as you go payment model. Go at your own pace, once you account gets low we can automatically re-charge your balance back. You have the option to not automatically re-charge.

Promotional Number and Authorized Phones

What is the promotional number?

Promotional number is the local phone you select once you have registered your account with txtio.com Promotional number is the number your customers use to subscribe to receive messages from your business and you use to broadcast your messages from authorized phones.

I cannot get promotional phone number in the area code I desire.

We serve phone number based on the current availability. You might get desired area code if you try later. Please note that some area codes are very hard to obtain.

What is the authorized phone?

Authorized phone is an SMS-enabled device or application that is bound to your promotional phone number and is authorized to send news and offers to your subscribers.

How many authorized phones can I have?

You can have as many as you want, we do not limit it.

What happens if I text promotional number from my authorized phone?

Except for your subscription, opt-out and #bal verbs, your sms will be distributed to the list of your subscribers.

What happens if I call promotional number from my authorized phone?

You will get balance and statistic information. Alternatively you can text #bal to your promotional number.

How will customer know about our promotional number?

Put your promotional number to your business cards, flyers, post cards, etc. and advertise in the place of your business or online.

Do I have to use computer to send out promotions?

No, you do not. Use your authorized phone to send out promotions and get balance information on the go. To send a message to your subscriber list, text message to the promotional number (account) phone from your authorized phone.

Can I use computer to send out promotions?

Yes. Login to txtio.com and use web interface (tab Blast!) to send out promotions.

What happens if I send long message (more than 160 characters)?

If you send message more than 160 characters we will break it in 2 messages. It means that you will use 2 credits instead of 1.

Can I post promotions to my twitter and facebook accounts?

Yes. Login to txtio.com and choose distribution to link your twitter and/or facebook accounts. Once you sms promotion it will be auto posted to your linked accounts.

I want to get posts on my site. Is it possible?

Absolutely! Use our widget to place on your site.

Can I make my posts private?

Yes, in profile settings select Privacy check box.

Cancellation

How can I cancel the service?

Login to txtio.com, choose account link and click on delete my profile. Please note, that balance is not refundable and all your data will be permanently lost including your promotional phone number and subscribers list.
